About Make

Make is an award-winning international architectural practice with a reputation for challenging convention and pursuing design excellence. We believe buildings should be a source of community pride, and strive to design vibrant places and spaces that enhance our towns and cities and reflect the transformative power of architecture. Working closely with an array of private and public sector clients around the world, we ensure each of our schemes presents a confident vision of the future.

We bring projects to life across a broad range of sectors and locations, pushing for innovation in every one, whether it’s a small community-led scheme or a landmark new structure. This approach has produced several noteworthy arts and culture projects, including a dynamic exhibition space for emerging artists in Hong Kong and a major new museum and art gallery in Swindon. Over the past decade our work has been enhanced by the talent and commitment of many other members of the creative sector, including artists like Kenny Hunter and Catherine Bertola – collaborations that have produced an array of beautiful, inspiring public works of art.

Architecture has a vital role to play in the protection of our environment and education of future generations. We work alongside CABE, BCO and RIBA and sponsor groups such as the Stephen Lawrence Trust, the Architecture Foundation and Open City to improve public engagement, facilitate learning and promote sustainable design. Our architects also teach at universities across the country, sit on a variety of design review panels, and engage with international arts events like Beijing Design Week and the World Architecture Festival.
